Xuanmen Bay Bridge Project

The Xuanmen Bay Bridge, also known as the "Moon Ring Bridge," is a cross-sea passage in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, China. The route spans a total length of 3.4 kilometers, with the main line covering 1.58 kilometers and the cross-sea bridge section measuring 780 meters. The bridge is designed as a six-lane, two-way Class I highway with a design speed of 60 kilometers per hour.

Application of CHEERON Couplers in the Xuanmen Bay Bridge Project

• Precast Box Girder Wet Joints: For the Φ32mm transverse connecting rebars, CHEERON headed bar were used instead of traditional hooks to resolve rebar collision issues in the cast-in-place sections. In response to the high salt spray environment of Shacheng Bay, CHEERON couplers combined with epoxy resin anti-corrosion technology reduced the corrosion rate by 60%.
